In the Beetlejuice universe, the recently deceased don’t just wander freely there’s a whole bureaucratic system waiting for them, complete with caseworkers, manuals, and apparently, guided tours. When Beetlejuice wants to charm Lydia into saying his name three times, he doesn’t wing it. He puts on a little hat and becomes a professional. That’s the kind of unhinged confidence this costume is built around.
Design & Details
The set includes a long distressed vinyl coat, red patterned broadcloth shirt with front buttons, midweight jersey pants with an elastic waist, two faux leather belts with metal buckles, and the iconic “GUIDE” badge hat. The bald cap with wild green synthetic hair around the back and sides is included too, so the whole look comes together without much guesswork.
Everything is 100% polyester, and the pieces are designed to layer and fit together the way the character’s look does on screen. The elastic waist on the pants makes the whole thing more comfortable to actually wear for extended periods, which matters more than people think once you’re several hours into a long night.
Say His Name Twice
You’ve got the coat, the hat, the unruly hair, and the buckles. At some point in the night, you’ll gesture at a room full of people, tilt that little guide cap, and explain that you’re here to help. Nobody’s going to believe you. Beetlejuice never did either, and that was always the point.
