A Cannolo, meaning little tube in Italian is usually called “Cannoli” in English, and even though the word is different the pastry is the same! A ricotta cream filled fried pastry tube, sometimes sprinkled with chocolate chips, is a staple of the Sicilian diet and is also found in most bakeries in the United States.
