The Munchkins had one job: welcome a stranger, celebrate the death of a witch, and hand out civic awards. They did all of this in coordinated outfits. Whatever Munchkinland’s flaws, the dress code was clearly enforced.
Your kid is about to become a fully certified resident of that very town, which honestly seems like a great place to grow up if you can handle the occasional house-related emergency.
Design & Details
The costume includes a green plaid shirt made from white midweight poplin with an all-over printed pattern and front button detail, paired with elastic-waist green shorts in matching poplin. The look comes together with printed jersey leggings in green and white stripes that give the whole thing that classic Munchkinland flair.
Completing the outfit are faux suede shoe covers that slip over most regular shoes, so no specialty footwear required. Everything is made from 100% polyester and is officially licensed from The Wizard of Oz, meaning this is the real deal straight from Oz’s most enthusiastic welcoming committee.
Small Town, Big Energy
Munchkinland is technically a small community, but its residents have more civic pride than most cities ten times the size. Your kid will fit right in fully committed to the bit, green from collar to toe, prepared to greet any and all travelers who arrive unexpectedly by tornado. The fact that this is a perfectly normal thing to be prepared for in Munchkinland is, honestly, the funniest part of the whole story.
